How to Check Your AT&T Home Internet Data Usage | AT&T
We're all doing a lot online these days, watching HD video, streaming shows and music, and that uses a lot of Internet data. And it's not just computers: Smart TVs, Wi-Fi connected phones or tablets, and other devices can also use data.
Except for unlimited plans, your Internet plan has a monthly allowance of data based on your speed level. Because the plans have so much data, many customers will never reach their allowance.
For example, even on the lowest Internet data allowance AT&T offers, you can watch about 50 hours of high-def movies in a month and still stay within your data allowance.
To help you manage your usage, we'll even send you email notices if your data use is approaching your allowance threshold. To see your current Internet data usage, just sign into your account on att.com.
Right on the Overview page is an estimate of how much Internet data you've used. Click on "My Internet" to see any overage charges, or select "Manage my plan" to change your Internet plan to any available plan you'd like; and even check your current Internet usage in detail by selecting "See all my usage". Usage details are broken out by all downloaded or uploaded Internet data per day and are usually updated within 24 hours. This includes anyone or anything connected to your home Wi-Fi network.
To view your past usage details, including dates and amounts, select the "Previously billed usage" drop-down box, then select the billing period you want to view. To download your usage details, select the download option "CSV" or "Excel".
Or, would you like to see how your usage varies over time? Select the "Reports" tab, and then select the type of report you want to view, and starting and ending billing periods, and then "Create Report".
Also, remember you can always check your Internet data usage while you are on the go using the myAT&T app.
Don't have the myAT&T app yet? From your smartphone, text "EASY" to 8758, or download from the App Store. Launch the myAT&T app from your mobile device, select "My Internet", and then select "See all my usage" for an approximate total of your Internet use.
Totals may not include your data usage from the last few hours, but you'll get a good estimate of your total. You can get details and reports of Internet data use right from your smartphone.
Explore all the ways you can use your AT&T account online at att.com/myatt.
Thank you for choosing AT&T!
